Tiger shovelnose catfish (Pseudoplatystoma fasciatum) is an elongated freshwater fish from Suriname. This fish is fairly large and will thrive in outdoor ponds that resemble its natural habitat. The pond water requires a pH level of 6 to 7.5, a temperature of 72 to 79 degrees Fahrenheit, and a water hardness of about 6 to 20 KH.
